Minibus Hire in Pattaya: Exploring Thailand in a Group

Renting a minibus is one of the best ways to explore Thailand if you are traveling with a large family or a group of friends. While we do not currently carry minibuses in our own permanent fleet, Pattaya Rent a Car works closely with trusted partners to provide these vehicles for our clients.

🚐 Toyota Commuter vs. Toyota Ventury

If you are set on a minibus, you’ll likely choose between the two most popular models in Southeast Asia. Both are surprisingly easy to drive and fuel-efficient for their size.

• Toyota Commuter: The standard choice for larger groups, typically featuring 9 seats in the back. It is a workhorse available in both manual and automatic.
• Toyota Ventury: A slightly smaller, more "premium" feel. It usually has 5 seats in the back, offering significantly more legroom and comfort for passengers compared to the Commuter.

Pro Tip: My only complaint about these vans is the very back row. On bumpy Thai roads, you feel every jolt. If you have a choice, aim for the middle seats for a much smoother ride!

🚙 The 7-Seater Alternative

For many groups, a full-sized minibus isn't actually necessary. We often recommend the Toyota Fortuner New Model as a perfect alternative.
