Bang Saray is close to many of these internationally funded mega projects and is also seen as a great place for top executives and their families to relocate. Currently, the Thai government is investing huge sums to upgrade access to this area. Planned upgrades include the Sukhumvit main road from Pattaya past Bang Saray and onto Rayong, as well as major expansions to U Tapao airport — just 29 minutes away — which will eventually become Thailand's second-largest international airport. Work has also started on a high-speed train network linking Don Muang and Suvarnabhumi airports in Bangkok with Pattaya and U Tapao, meaning you'll be able to travel to Bangkok in under an hour.
