5 Great Indian Restaurants in Pattaya



We all know that Pattaya if a great place for restaurants and the choice is seemingly endless but for those of us, especially Brits there is nothing better than a good curry and by that we mean an Indian curry! There are lots of Indian restaurants around the city, most of them are good but naturally there are a few poorer ones in there as well but below we have listed some best restaurants around the city. Sadly we can’t mention every one and I am sure that we will have missed some people’s favourites!

  1. Ali Baba

    Ali Baba is the oldest and perhaps best known Indian restaurant in Pattaya having been established in 1984. Located on Pattaya Klang, between Pattaya Beach Road and Pattaya 2nd Road the restaurant is easy to find with an upstairs restaurant area with take aways available. The restaurant is well set out and ideal for groups and couples a like. The menu is extensive and very authentic making it extremely popular with the diners – most of whom are repeat customers. This is well worth a visit.

  2. Indian By Nature

    Located on Thrappraya Road, Indian By Nature is another excellent Indian restaurant in the city and is ideally placed for those living in Jomtien or Pratamnak. The restaurant is on the ground floor of the building that also houses the famous Jack and Dave’s Tailors (formerly of Walking Street).   1. Maharani’s

    Maharani’s is an excellent choice for those looking to enjoy a special occasion and is located within the Royal Cliff Hotel. The views are simply stunning and décor is in a very traditional Indian style and adds to the ambience. The menu is excellent as too, as you would expect from the Royal Cliff, is the quality of the food. If you are looking to spoil yourself, this is great option.

  2. Saras Express

    This is located in the Royal Garden Plaza shopping centre and is another great alternative. There is ample parking available and the range of food and drinks that are on offer are a real credit to the place.

  3. Mantra

    It is always hard not to mention the Mantra when talking about ‘great’ restaurants in Pattaya. Located at the North end of Pattaya Beach Road Mantra offers an extensive Indian menu along with a range of other dishes. Why not treat a loved one?
